These giant yellow bags which we got from a Scrapstore, have been sitting in the Shop of Possibilities for the good part of a year, yet only this last week have the children even noticed they were there. The photographs below show the development of the children's exploration of this loose part throughout the session.
The way they played involved very little verbal communication to each other, instead there were just a series of actions that the other children copied, or tried something similar.
Once they were attached together they then didn't have much choice but to work as and move as one collective group.
Then as one tries to lead, this is what happened...
Once back on their feet off they go again...
